Sarah Jessica Parker Reveals New SATC Inspired Scent

Sarah Jessica Parker unveiled her newest scent, ‘SJP NYC’ during a presentation at New York’s Sweetie Pie restaurant last week.

Sarah explained the inspiration behind the new fragrance during the event, saying:

“What I really wanted to do was capture an image, a snapshot in my head of Carrie Bradshaw, that sort of freeze-frame of her walking down any New York City street at an idyllic time of year in a floral-print dress on her way to meet somebody or to do something, or surrounded by her women friends,

“You can go anywhere with that, because we live in a fragrant city.”

The perfume apparently ‘mixes notes of wild strawberry with gardenia and vanilla, housed in a multi-print bottle inspired by the custom-designed Oscar de la Renta dress she wears in the ad campaign,’ according to People.

Sarah seemed very pleased with the end result:

“What we arrived at was very surprising to me because it’s not notes that I generally cotton to — but I love it.”

It sounds like it will quite a sweet-smelling perfume, which isn’t really my thing, personally – I’m not so sure about the strawberry. I can’t wait to try it out, nevertheless!

Just while we’re on the subject of SJP – who is looking forward to the release of Sex and The City 2?

I can’t wait! I didn’t think the last movie was ALL that great but I still love SATC and will definitely be going to see this one.
