Katherine Heigl Says Future Plans Include Being ‘More Of A Mom’

Following all the recent speculation as to whether or not Katherine Heigl will be returning to Grey’s Anatomy, the actress has spoken a little about some of her plans for the future – taking care of her little girl.

Katherine and her husband Josh Kelley, adopted their daughter – Naleigh (Nancy Leigh), a special-needs child from South Korea – in September last year.

“I think I’m just gonna try and keep it a little more mellow,” Katherine told People,

“and be a little bit more of a mom, since that’s a big part of my life now.”

After adopting her baby girl, new mum Katherine took a few months maternity leave, and has not yet returned to work.

“I took those 3 months off and I realized how very, very important is my family is to me and I want to be more available to them.”

It is not yet been confirmed if Katherine has indeed finished with Grey’s Anatomy,  but I think it’s clear that she wants to be a very hands-on mum, so maybe she’s planning to relax her schedule a little and spend time raising her daughter.
